I'm not a big believer in the load causing high/low/left/right poi.  That is a gun/choke/sight/shooter issue.

If Allaboutshooting tells me different I will acquiesce.

Believe what you want, I have seen it happen!

What are the physics of that?

teke

any change in variable may and or will change poi.

Figured it out boys. Put some adjustable iron sights on and completely fixed my windage issue. The sight wouldn't adjust enough to fix the elevation but now I just aim about 3" below where the feathers meet the neck and I'm on. Thanks for all the advice and input

Barrel harmonics. Same with any centerfire powder/bullet combinations.

Nah - rifle barrel is acting upon a solid, not so with a scattergun.

Still harmonics involved. A lot of vibration running through that barrel as the shot travels down the bore.

Not enough to affect poi like that.

If harmonics caused a 1 foot change in poi at 40 yards, rifles would see a 10 foot swing at 400 yards?
