Hello guys I have been having trouble pattering my Sbeii. I tried a Rob Roberts 655 and it was ok. Rob just sent me a .660 and a .640. I mainly shoot Mag Blends and was wondering if anybody has tried a .640 in a Sbeii and how it did. The 640 just seems tight?

Never heard of anyone shooting a .640.  I don't even know anyone made one.

It's all about the "internals" of the choke. A reader who uses my patterning service, had me shoot his RR chokes through a Benelli. As I recall, I shot both Magnum Blend shells and the standard shells as well as WLB shells through those chokes. I'd have to look back to see which did better with the Magnum Blends. I can do that if it would be helpful. The Hevi-13 choke normally does very well with those shells in that gun.

Thanks,
Clark

I would be willing to bet that a lot of it has to do with the mag blend shells themselves.  Depending on the lot # you could have one of those bad batch of mag blends.  I know I've got some of them too....

Clark,  I would be most interested knowing those results.  I am shooting the RR .655, .660. and .665 with mag - blends and the Winchester LB
