I love my Lonnie Sneed Hot Hen Slate. I use a Halloran Dymondwood Striker, and was wondering what strikers everyone likes with their Hot Hens.

I like dogwood and persimmon. Thanks to hunter 22.

Fred Cox Zebrawood and Padauk

EDIT: Just got a few new strikers in today from Fred Cox and I do believe his Canarywood striker is my new go-to for the Hot Hen. It'll play soft, loud, or anywhere in between with ease. Also, his Tulipwood runs great on it as well!

Here are some of my favorites on my Hot Hen.

Top----Light's Out Persimmon
Middle----my hand whittled spalted Persimmon
Bottom----my hand whittled spalted Dogwood

A few guys on here have some of my redneck strikers. Not much to look at but sound pretty good.

I've tried a bunch, I believe you could round off a pencil and it would sound good on his slate.
