Does anyone have any experience  shooting this combination??  If so, thru what choke and how was you pattern @ 40 yards??  And would you shoot these over the 3" Hevi-13 #6?  Thanks.

LARRYHAYNES

I've shot that same combination and had really good results with a jebs .660 with the XR#6s. Never shot the hevi-13 though. But the mag blends also patterned very well

What were your 40 yard pattern numbers in the 10" circle???

Tom Foolery

Not an 1187 but I shot the 3" XR 5's and XR 6's from my short 870 and my numbers @ 40yds barely broke 100 with a Kicks .660 and a Kicks .665.

I posted em on here a couple years ago but I believe I was getting in the 150s consistently

I shoot that exact combo with a Kicks GT 665.  Never counted the holes but it is quite effective.

Shoot a pm to ncturkey he shot those shells through an 870 (21"barrel)  with a ic choke for several years..... He could give you some numbers.

I shot them for years with great results in the exact same gun using a MAD choke, which I have been told is a .665. As for numbers, I couldn't tell you because I wasn't into pellet counting in those days, but I killed a bunch of turkeys with them. I'd still be using them in my Remington, if they were available.

SKFOOTER

Neil, if it was the Mad Max choke it was made in both .655 (Model #1003) and .665 (Model #1002) constrictions for the Remingtons.  Do you happen to know what the Model # was that was stamped on the choke??
