I'm looking to try a leafy this year and I'm not sure which to get. I have gift cards to cabelas so that is a plus but I have read the ASAT is also nice and may provide better outline break up. I realize movement or lack there of is key so please leave those comments out of discussion.

Also I live in NY which during spring turkey can get quite green so if the votes going towards cabelas please leave comments on pattern color. Thanks everyone!

Cabelas has the leafy wear poncho on sale for $20. I have one on the way. My current 3d camo is made by whitewater, and I really like it.

I have a Cabellas Ghil-leaf jacket and pants and have no idea what pattern it is. During this spring which had the earth mottled with patches of snow through the bright green of new foliage and the fall when the terrain went from green, through foliage right into stick season the suit worked great. Maybe half-a-dozen times I was able to get within a yard or two of birds which was too close for a bow shot from me. I stood and drew on them while talking trying to get them a bit further off so my sight picture was good. Finally got one. The suit is fantastic. The underclothing does matter a bit for thermoregulation but the suit was not too hot when the end of season temps were better suited to shorts and a T-shirt. The suit does collect whatever burr-like things you walk through and the bow arm was shorn a bit to keep the string from hitting. I cut the leafy stuff off with a knife after the material was rolled up This left a short but jagged edge.

I would go with the Cabelas in Real Tree Xtra Green
The addiction will cost you time and money and alienate those close to you. I can give you the names of a dozen addicts — myself included — whose wives begin to get their hackles up a week before turkey season starts and stay mad until a week after it closes.

That is what I was thinking as well. Do you know the difference in the cabelas leafy pro II and the their guileafy?

I'm a fan of the ASAT leafy suit. Has worked well for me for quite a few years.

I have the Cabelas leafy pro II one.  It is nice and works great.

I'm very curious to see everybody's input on this; I bought a cheap-o model from Wal-Mart or Academy (can't remember) last year & it's falling apart now, *BUT* it has me SOLD on leafy suits, not only for turkey hunting but bow hunting deer, as well...

I have this one also. I've used it for the last 2 seasons & I've been happy with it. I do have a few tears in it, mostly the legs. These suits will catch on limbs & brush but that's just part of it. They really do a good job concealing you in the woods. I always wear mine while turkey hunting.
