What is the purpose of different strikers for pot calls. I only have the rounded one that came with my call.

Each striker will give you slightly different sound.  Some folks prefer to carry fewer pot calls and multiple strikers.  Its really personal preference.

A good striker can make an ok call into a great one. Wood tones sound differenet, but weight, length, and head shape also make or break a striker.

Plus it's less bulky to carry more strikers than more pots.

For example, by having 3 srikers with one call you basically have 3 different calls with a fraction of the cost and weight.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
