This has been by far he worst real estate process I have ever been through. It took forever to get the house sold (buyers got a VA loan). We were on top of things. The home offer was made/accepted in January. We had a property and mobile home picked out already. It was middle of March before the sale ever went through. I was already approved for my new loan package. I turne in all my papers and was waiting on the mobile dealer to turn in final numbers. Well that is where all the crap started rolling down hill. I have bought and sold several houses. When I did (before) the seller was given 30 days to vacate. Then if longer was needed to vacate you could work out an arrangement. Not this time. Our agent made us pay for 30 days (starting after closing) at 20$ a day. That was $600 up front. We were told that after 30 days we were out on our "mules". Heck, the agent was our agent when we bought the house originally and the lady we bought from had an extra 2 weeks.
Back to the mobile purchase. We were told the process was 4 to 6 weeks. That was 7 weeks ago. We are now told it will be another 4 to 6 weeks. The guy wasted our 30 days. We then found a new dealer and a bigger house for a lower price. But we had to vacate our old house. A cousin of mine has let us stay in the house she is remodeling, but they need to get it finished and sell it. The home is too far from my work for me to live permanently. So I can't buy it. We have a contract on our property and a deposit on the house. But we are just now about to get back the appraisal. It then goes to USDA for rural development for approval (no issues except it will sit there for 10+ business days). Then another week to get going on updrontinf the improvement money. With the current weather, the "week" to do improvements will take longer. Then a week or more,to install the house and get to closing. We need a place to stay until we get our house. No place is going to rent to us for a month or 2, and we have pets. We are in a heck of a bind. If we had a camper, we could put it on the land. Problem is that it is like $200 a week to rent one. We are out of options. If school was out, I could pitch a tent and the wife could take the kids to granny's. Heck, I could live out of my office.
I am just at my ropes end. Need some serious prayer right now.
