My parents came down from Minnesota Wednesday to watch our kids while my wife and I went bow hunting.  This is the first time in four years she has bow hunted with me.  The last time she was out she was pregnant with the twins.  We rented a cabin about an hour and a half south of our home.  The first couple of days the wind was 30 mph and gusting even more.  It made for some hard hunting and talk about being tired when we got back to the cabin.  Even so we were seeing deer and letting several small bucks walk by.  The last night my wife was texting me every time a deer would walk by.  She was holding out for the big one.  Well after a few more texts saying she had passed of several more bucks and she saw a monster wall hanger tending three does out of range (50 yards).  I replied not to be too picky if she wants to shoot a deer as this is your last hunt of the year.  She thought about what I said and let another deer walk but with a half hour left to hunt she decided to take this one.  We just bought her this bow two weeks ago.  It was great to see her in a tree again and even flinging an arrow.  Praise be to God for his creation and an opportunity to enjoy it.

Thanks guys.  She was really excited to hunt and harvest a deer.  She has given me the approval and almost has her foot down that I must hunt every chance I have the next two weeks.  She says if I get shot at the big one she saw it will all be worth it.  I think its great every time I sit in a tree rather I get the big one or not.
