Guys, I know of no one else that would have any experience with my question than this list.

How do you all hunt with your own children.  I have a son and two daughters.

Oldest daughter is 12, the youngest is 6 and my son is 10.  Typically he hunts with me, but I would like to at least give my other two the opportunity to hunt with me as well.

How do you guys prioritize who gets to go and when.  Do you take 2 of the three, all three, sit in a blind I know, but how do you prioritize who goes?

My initial thought is take one child one week and the other the next, making it a daddy daughter date if you will.

Thoughts?

Some men are mere hunters; others are turkey hunters.

I take my grandsons one at a time.  Especially at ages 11 and 12 we wouldn't see any game with both of them there.

One goes first in deer season, the other goes first in turkey season.  Then we alternate.

Well i have 3 boys that hunt with me.with one adult in Ohio you can only have 2 youths hunting at one time .
now sometimes all 3 go but we only take 2 guns .as far as who goes first I let them decided who going to shoot first or who's going. most of the time my 2 youngest go 12 and 14 first day and get there bird then the older goes solo with me . They have fun that's all that matters the birds are always nice .

I have a 12 yr old girl, a 8 yr old girl and a 3 yr old boy. The girls and I hunt together a bunch. Sometimes I take them both. Sometimes they take turns. I let them decide who shoots first and they are very fair in that respect. With turkeys, they both usually go and take turns. With deer we spend more time one on one. When one girl gets a deer, she stays home with mom until the other gets one. We do hunt together for deer too tho. Usually from a blind if it's all of us. For turkeys, we hunt out of a blind less and less. Often times one girl will just hide good while the bird comes in. They are a blast to hunt with and do great in the woods. We have hunted several states together.
Now that my boy is 3, it's a new ball game. He wants to go with us... Wow. That's tough. He went the other evening with my oldest girl and me. 3 hrs in a blind with a 3 yr old, fun times. He only spooked 2 does. Lol. Enjoy!!

My oldest generally goes first then it goes down the line and starts over again. Quite frankly after one or two times the younger ones don't want to anymore so the oldest ends up going the most.
