Carrying a paddle call

How does everyone pack a longbox in the woods? Is a holster the best option?

I hate to say it, but I usually toss mine in the open pocket in the back of my vest.  Maybe that's why mine is a hairline crack in the sidewall???

I stopped carrying it too years ago be cause I could never find a good way to carry it.

I carry mine in a holster. There are some Amish in PA that make some good ones.

Holster here, too.  The Amish leather holsters are perfect, keep it quiet when moving.

 I carry mine in a soft case (Gore-Tex) and then in a large front pocket in my vest, quiet and pretty much out of the way.
