Summer is my least favorite season but there are some good things about summer. One of my favorites is wild blackberry cobbler! Picked a few over the weekend and my wife made this cobbler last night. Not many treats better than homemade blackberry cobbler and a scoop of homemade ice cream!

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

That does look good David. Maybe topped with a little hand-cranked homemade vanilla ice cream?

Maybe I can bring one and come up soon. We can muscle out a batch of ice cream to go with it?

hunter22

We need to do that real soon. I know we both have some calls neither have seen since our last visit. I am firing up the grill tomorrow for some smoked chickens and the wild tukey in bacon kabobs with peppers, onions, and squash I like to do. I may throw on some corn on the cob also.

80% of them are not ready yet, but the very first ripe ones always make the best cobblers.
