Close encounters 2014

Well I'm sitting here on my porch on this beautiful summer day day dreaming about longbeards and the ones that got away this spring! We had so many close calls with birds and should have killed several more than we did, but man we had a blessed and were blessed with the ones we did kill. We captured some great footage, and the camera definitely did save a few lives.

Had to share a video that we threw together of some of the close encounters we had this spring. Alot of great gobbling footage, of which most of the birds were in range but just out of sight. Had a blast hunting them again this year, and thank The Lord for the opportunities I had to do so. Really hope u all will enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed capturing it. Nice video. At one point one of the birds sounded like he was right on top of you

Lol he was right on top of us. We walked right under him that morning not knowing he was there. He never made a sound till he hit the ground. We were working two other birds and he flew down and almost landed on my camera man lol he stood around a little point about 40 yards from me for a long time strutting and gobbling like crazy and was working around the point to me when another gobbler ran down the hill and ran him off! It was crazy!!!!!!
