I might be able to hunt the last 3 days of season in Chautauqua county on public lands. Anyone from that area have any opinions or input on birds in that area? I don't want anyone's spots or specific info. I just don't want to be done yet!! Someone tell me that there are decent odds and I'll be there!!
  Thanks

I'm sorry, I can not help with hunting but I used to sail on Chautauqua Lake many summers when I was a teenager.  What a great place, lots of memories there. I also hunted and fished around Jamestown but that was a lifetime ago.

Thanks,
Clark

I figured the family and me would fish in the afternoons. Why not??.....I'm goin. I just thought someone might chime in from that area. We don't have abundant funds but turkey season is still in there, so...

I hunt in otsego/madison/oneida counties and this year the late season is better than the last few years. Probably the late spring this year. Saw strutters in the fields every day on my commute to work last week. Birds were gobbling really good on saturday they didnt know it was the tail end of the season. Best of luck to ya. I'm not familiar with that area but around here the state land doesn't hardly get pressured for turkeys. Especially this late in the season the diehard turkey hunters are the only ones left hunting and all the diehards i personally know hunt private land 95% of the time.Id say you have more than a decent chance especially if you can find and get in tight to a roosted gobbler.Let us know how you make out.
