Gobble call?

I am in the market for a gobble call.  Last year, I tried the Hale Fire but it did not go well.  I have also tried on a tube call but struggle with that also.  Would I be better off using a shaker call or one of the other mouth blown calls on the market?  I would like to learn to use one.  I could have used one this spring to on a tom and hen in on a field.  I was able to get within 75 yards of the strutter.  I tried to use hen sounds and his hen walked away.  I feel if I would have gobbled, he may have come to find out who was on his field.

A good box call will gobble well, just a option.

I hunt public a lot, so I don't even consider it. maybe on private land

Just learn how to gobble with a mouth call. I did this little video a few years ago.

That is some good gobbling.

But, if he cannot gobble on the Haint, there is little chance of learning on a mouth call...  I can almost make a sound that with some imagination sounds like a gobble on a mouth call...

I think these calls were geared towards duck hunters...  You cup your hands over them to get the correct tone and back-pressure, and do a feeding chuckle...

Say: "Digga-Digga-Digga-Digga-Digga"

Here is a call I fashioned that sounds just like the turkey thunder or Haint.... (just click on the black square below):

If you can do a feeding chuckle, and play around with the hand cupping and back-pressure the Haint or the Turkey Thunder make a reasonable gobble in my opinion...
Did I do that?

Fly fishermen are born honest, but they get over it.
