I'm headed to east Kansas the last week ofthere season. Does anybody no if birds are still pretty vocal towards the end up there or hard to call to never been an never hunted birds this late in the season thanks for any info fellas.

Some years they are frantic with most hens sitting by then they can be really lonely. I expect it to be hot by then and the action to be slow in the middle of the day but the first few hours and the last hour or two of the day. This Spring is a little behind so I bet it will still be good. I have filled quite a few KS and NE tags hunting labor day weekend in years past.

Should be great .... I agree with drenalinld it will be hot , so get the birds within in the first couple of hours, and you shouldn't have any problems.

Guy's I just got back from Kansas Sat eve after spending a week out there, I killed the only Gobbler me & my wife saw. First three days was in the 30's & high 40's with rain & wind. I found a nest with 21 eggs already, so right away I'm thinking we are about three weeks late. We hunted the same area we always see a lot of turkeys but the area was void of life,?????? Good luck.
