I would think Merriams in New Mexico...  Looks like a Rio from the picture though?

It could be the photo Marc
This area is too far west to hold any rios or hybrids . The bird definitely has some buff color to the tips. I've killed merriams in several other states and have see. Some that were really white and some that had that cream colored to them .
