You're a lucky man!! Congrats to your wife on her bird! Now tell her to get back out there and find some morels!! ;D Man I love those things!! Unfortunately, I mostly hunt deep in Dixie, where the morels don't grow. :(

I took a friend on his first turkey hunt Friday. With the wind we only heard a few gun shots(four from the same place !) and a few gobbles but we couldn't get a mark on him.It was getting late in the morning so we headed up to a few fields to finish it out. We found a ton of shrooms so we switched gears and started picking them. About an hour into our mushroom picking we had a gobbler fire off 60 yards and closing. I called a couple times and he was almost killable when I saw a hen across the field and he took off after her. We tried to get in front of them but they were moving at a pretty good clip.

So many times Ill run across mushrooms and forget what I'm really there for and miss out on a turkey.
