I'm picking up a Stoeger P-350 12ga later today. Its got the 26" barrel and was wondering which choke is a good one to start with. Anybody know of a good place to start with choke/shell combo's?

Lot's of good options out there & no doubt you'll get a lot of opinions... My personal choice would be a SumToy .650 with either Win Long Beard 6's or Hevi 13 7's .... Best of luck & CONGRATS on the new shotgun!  :icon_thumright:

Thanks for the info!!
How does the factory xx-full choke do? The guy said it had 5 chokes and 2 of them were factory turkey chokes with one being fuller than the other.
I dont think I did too bad, $250 like new in the box with like 10 shots through it. The guy said "Im just not hunting anymore" So I couldn't pass it up!

I would definitely try the factory tubes with which ever load/loads you want to try first...you never know, it might give you exactly what you're looking for!  :icon_thumright:

Crappie Pro,

I was out last weekend with a good friend of mine who has the exact same gun. He was not happy with the choke he bough last year and had just picked up a Kick's .665" that week. He was very happy with the pattern and the count with the Kick's

He was using Win Longbeard XR in 3.5" #6's and put 235 pelllets in a 10" at 40 yds.

I have one of these with 24" barrel and pistol grip and i would definitely put one of the hevi 13 .656 choke tubes in the gun and not look back. I would stay away from the factory tubes as they have been known to bulge. I shoot hevi 6s 7s and magblends as well as hwt 6s through mine with great results. I bet they would do Great with longbeards too.
