Spitten and drummen

So this am i am out in the middle of the national forest about 3 miles back behind a lock gate. Im standing on the side if the forrest service road hoping to hear a bird gobble. I had never been to this area and was prospecting for some new birds to hunt. Anyway its starting to get daylight and i hear a bird about 300 yards away. I start slipping down the road and i hear the un mistakable sound of a 4 wheeler. In a couple of minutes a old man on a yellow 4 wheeler pulls up , stops , and turns it off. Im really surprised this is happening. He ask me what i was doing and i told him the same thing he was. He then laughs and ask why i came over here to hunt. I told him because i felt like it. I was starting to get really mad about now. He asked if i saw his camp about a mile before the gated road and i said i did so what? He proceeds to tell me he has been hunting that area since 1987. He then asked me how long i have turkey hunted. I told him that was none of his business and asked him what his malfunction was. He told me that he had that wrapped up and i should hunt my own spots. I then told him he needed to be careful because it is against the law to ride behind any of the gates. He told me that they had to catch him first and he was 63 years old and cant walk like the rest of us. He then cranked up and rode off down the road. I hung around and didnt hear anymore gobbling and left out around 10. Found a lot of sign in there. I get back to the truck and the more i thought about it the madder i got. I called and reported him riding in there. The guy said he would have a forrest service man call me this afternoon. Still havent heard back from them. I just wanted to share this crazy but true story with yall. Would like to hear anyones thoughts. I am going to go back there because there are birds in there. I just dont want to have my truck damaged and maybe end up in a major altercation. How would you handle this?

I really don't like to alert the GW to where I'm gonna be hunting. Not that I plan on doing anything wrong but

I can't answer your question on here, but I will say that I hunted public land for 25+ years and yes this almost exact same thing happened to me.
After the second time no more 4 wheelers came down that road is all I'm going to say.
it's not the harvest,it's the chase
