I do not know the total # of turkeys I've killed or by others with me. I do know total # called into gun range last year and how many shot oppourtunities and # killed and missed. Kinda keep track by property too but don't keep a log or anything.

I journal all the hunts whether I am on the gun/bow or someone else is.  It includes birds taken, birds missed, and birds that should have been taken and never shot at and generally everything else going on during the hunt.  Not really hung up on numbers at all, but when I have having a "bad" season, I sometimes look back and see how blessed I have been with all the years of amazing hunts.

I don't count it as a kill, but I do take the same amount of pride in it. If my decisions and work are what result in the kill, then I was successful in my mind.

Not I said the Gooserbat.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

I keep a log of all my kills and the ones I help call up. I dont count them as kills though. I put the persons name and the normale stuff, date, time, specs of turkey.

No log, no counting for me. But honestly, squeezing the trigger is the easy part.  I take great pride in calling a bird in to range and love to retell that story as much as one where I squeeze the trigger. If I can't eat it, it ain't my kill. I wish duck tasted like turkey, cause I would never share another one.  Or redfish.  But I will share my trout and ducks.
