I stayed after one from 7am until almost 1pm today.  I saw him 4-5 times, was within 80yds of him a large part of that time.  He was up one huge ridge and then straight to the bottom and straight to the top of another nearly all day.  I bet he gobbled 200 times and he had a hen with him.  I felt sorry for that hen, she followed him all over creation and he never even paid her any attention.  She was yelping, clucking and cutting the whole way.  Weirdest thing I have seen.

He was a big mofo too so I'm sure he knew what he was doing, I on the other hand was dumbfounded.

Not much gobbling here , crows everywhere and lots of shock gobbles which helps.   They seem to be looking for a fight could care less about hens right now?  We killed two Saturday with a strutter and saw two different pairs fighting.
