Goulds Turkey in Southern Arizona

the goulds are showing back up at the ranch in southern Arizona there was over two dozen here, and a gobbler with hens behind where these pictures were taken that was gobbling like crazy but never put eyes on them. hope to have pictures with a regular camera soon.

they are here in Southern Arizona and you can hunt them I drew a tag in 2011.  I was fortunate enough to take a single season Royal Slam that year.  what I believe to be the first one where all the birds were taken within the good ole USA.

NM also has a few Goulds. AZ has by far the biggest POP of US Goulds. Sounds like the transplants went well and flourishing. My buddy Marvin Robbins was in on the first ever Goulds transplants to AZ. I would love to hunt a USA Goulds turkey one day. To draw an AZ tag is like winning the lotto. Thanks for the pics Slamman.
