what is the rarity of double spurs

i know its a newbie question but are the double spurs that rare ive always heard that bearded hens were rare but i seen 5 last year
may god bless the ethical and responsible hunters and to everybody kill a big one.  jerry

Multiple spurs are incredibly rare. Bearded hens are pretty common, usually it's cited as 10-20% of hens will have beards. It seems to vary by locality, I see multiple bearded hens every year. Multi bearded gobblers supposedly run a bit under 10%.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Iv run across a couple sets but they are few and far apart indeed. Saw a triple spurred bird killed near nelsonville ohio in 1988 or so. Not by me tho...dang it.

I have seen hundreds of dead turkeys and zero with multiple spurs!!!  Plenty of bearded hens and multiple bearded birds but not a multi spur!
