I found some old remington hevi shot in a store by my house tagged from 2002! Is it worth a crap it's priced cheap and comes in boxes of 10 not 5!

Woodsman4God

No clue but I picked up a box of #6s over the summer, at the worst its cheaper than the Normal Hevi shot and I can use it to get sighted in on, if it patterns well then its a bonus and I can use it to kill birds with

I was given a box recently. Its 1 1/4 oz 4s. I plan on backing up my lead 6s with it and /or it will be there to slip in for a coyote.

The white shells were supposed to be the cats meow. Clark Bush would definitely be able to advise you on them.

I say buy them. If they don't work for you, somebody will buy them off you.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands, love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper; his hands remember the rifle.

White? These have green hulls.

How cheap and how many boxes were there?I may take some off your hands.

I obviously need to learn how to read. That post was pre coffee

As long as they were kept in a cool dry place (the store display/storage shelf) they'll last a life time. Check the brass collars, they should still be relatively bright. Any corrosion is a deal breaker.

They have prolly 5 boxes of 3" #4's 2-3 boxes 3 1/2" #4's and 1 box 31/2" #5
$25.99 for 3"    $28.99 for the big boys,  I bought the #6's in 3 1/2" and a box of #4's in 3". Nothing I've ever killed a gobbler with does it quite like #4's! IMO

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

green hull you should be talking about the "old" Remington Hevi shot shell,if this is the case,I say buy all you can get your hands on.
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

I'd definitely buy those shells.  I shot the green 3 inch #5 Hevi-shot for years. They are great shells!

Glad i came across this post.
I was curious also about the green colored shells. I recently went by a local gun shop and they were selling 3.5" and 3" HEVI-SHOT HEVI 13 BRAND loads for only $10 for 5!. The week before i stopped in at gander mountain and picked up a box for $30 for 5. Later i noticed they were green instead of gold like the new ones i purchased at gander?

He also had the dead coyote hevi shot T size for $23 for 10 compared to the gander price of $60 for 10! They have green hulls also.
