Or at least an opinion, and I know y'all have one of those.

I seem to have more strikers than my vest will currently carry. I've got a limbhanger vest and it has three pouches/sleeves for individual strikers just above the pot call pouch/pocket and well I've got seven strikers I'd like to carry for the three pots I carry. So I need a place to securely store four additional strikers with quick access. I despise having to dig around in the pocket trying to locate the striker I'm after and having strikers clang and rattle against each other as I move.

Anyone have any ideas for making or buying something I can attach to my vest for quick access to the strikers? I've contemplated sewing an elastic strap to the vest in similar fashion as the shell holder but not too sure where I'd find such material.

Sometimes I slide an additional striker on each side of my box call in its pouch. Just remember they are there or when you slide your box call out they will fall out..

Poke a hole in the fingers of a couple cotton gloves slide in the strikers. they should be quiet and you can see the tips to choose a striker.  Also I got in the habit of looking back at where I was sitting before relocating, I lose a lot less stuff now.

cheap elastic style shotgun shell holders work fairly well

Not being a smartazz, but I think you may be carrying too much.

You're absolutely right however I can't stand the thought of leaving something in the truck or house and think, "these birds won't answer anything, I only I had x striker." I guess it is that Boy Scout in me.

I have trouble every year trying to get my striker carrying count down to 5. One is always a waterproof and one is always my favorite hickory. The other three spots are up for grabs, but this years draft is looking towards 2 hollarans and a lonzo.

I carry 4 strikers but find that I use 1 95% of the time.  I must have 50, but never touch the others anymore.

Cut the bottoms off the shotgun shell holders out and put the strikers in there -

Keep your shells in the box they came in , you can also take that box and wrap it with packing tape to make it more durable , If you have 4 or 3 shells in that 5 count box , but toilet paper in there ......your in the woods , you never have enough tp .........

I wish you would have posted this around 7 last night. I spent and hour sewing a 4" section of 1" wide elastic strap with four tight loops to the side of the pot call pouch. It's done now but I will remember your recommendation if/when my "modification" fails.

Here's what I came up with if anyone needs a similar idea
