There not grouped up in northern Washington county. They have been busted up first week or so of February. I had a group of 17 gobblers. The area I a saw those at I've only saw 2 lately and there is several groups of 2-3  scattered around the property. Now the hens I saw a group of 9 in one place and 12 in another. So the hems have not split off yet. I didn't go listen this morning I was gonna go tomorrow and I will try to go listen every morning until our season comes in. I have been trying to find a youth to take, this is the first year all the kids I know are either under 3 or over 16..

When they start having SENIORS Hunts I want to go with you. Give me a stick and I'll still go. :gobble:

Longshot

They have been strutting and gobbling on and off for the past 4 weeks here in extreme NE Florida. My son drew a permit for the youth hunt and we finally found a couple of talking birds last Saturday morning while still on the limb in the WMA. They shut up and never said a word after fly-down.
Hunt with your children today and you won't have to hunt for them tomorrow.

Saw 2 flocks of 30 or so, mostly hens, a few jakes around. Saw them after the last snow in the back 40. No gobblin' yet, anywhere. If it gets up to 45-50* next week, well maybe!

Got our of my truck this morning at 6:30 am at work here in WV where I'm currently assigned with my job.  Temps was 22 deg. and I hear a gobbler let loose about 150 yrds in the woods.  He gobbles sporadically until at least 7 when I had to come back to reality!  It made my morning!!
