I really never lose the turkey fever just manage it the best I can.  This year its been pretty much unmanageable since the start of November....actually its just been of the hook.  I've already been watching my turkey hunting DVD's which is a huge no no until after December for me.  I've already ordered two new ones.  Its really out of control! :toothy12:  I always order some new mouth calls in early spring to keep my supply up. Mouth calls are my favorite!   About two years ago I was introduced to Rut N Strut Game Calls made by Tim Sandford who is a great guy and I have talked to him quite a bit now.  I started off with his 3 reed goofy bat wing cut after a member her recommended it.  I'm so glad I did....it is by far the best mouth call I've ever used and I have used ALOT!  Many different makes and models if ya know what I mean.  I have called in more birds with this call then any other I have ever used.  Everyone that hears it falls in love with it.  I've guided several people now while using it and they can't believe how good its sounds and trust me I don't believe its the caller.   Since the fever has got to me so much already I went ahead and called Tim and placed an order.  Up until now I've only used the 3 reed goofy bat wing...so of course I ordered one of those to keep my supply well stocked I've got about 4 of them in reserve now, but I also ordered three new calls I've never used with his recommendation.   His 3 reed wonky wing cut which is the same as the 3 reed goofy bat wing except the cut is on the opposite side.  His 3 reed Shipwreck Cut Yellow Flirtatious, and 3 reed fan cut.  I got them in on Tuesday and all I can say is WOW!   There awesome all of them with the 3 reed wonky wind cut and the 3 reed shipwreck cut being my favorite out of the three new ones.  I've been braking them in on my ride to and from work.  I just hope he don't stop making these mouth calls anytime in the near future cause as long as he makes them he has a customer for life.  Plus he has a few more he makes I've not tried yet but plan to in the very near future.  Well I figured I'd try and let off alittle of the fever pressure I'm having and talk a little turkey!  Wish everyone a very blessed and Marry Christmas!  Remember Christ is the reason for the season!

Tim's good people. And his pot calls are nothing to turn your nose up at I can promise you, that lil copper pot he turns is a runner. Look forward to chattin' with Tim at each show.

I ordered two pot calls from Tim back in May, one of which was already completed at the time. I asked him to ship them together when he completed the other one to save on shipping. Well, seven months later, I still have not received either of them, both of which were paid for up front. I have stayed in contact with him the entire time and finally asked for a refund several weeks ago hoping that would result in getting my calls. I know he has been really busy with work and dealing with other problems, but at this point I just don't know what else to do. I have heard nothing but great things about his calls and I know from speaking with him that he seams like a top notch guy. He even sent me a picture of the second pot after turning it and it was truly a thing of beauty made from cherry burl, but that was several months ago. He was going to turn me a couple of one pc strikers and I finally asked him to ship the call without any strikers, but that got me no results either. I just hope to get a pair of calls before March now. I don't make it a habit of badmouthing anyone on a public forum and that is not my agenda now, but I could use a :help: little advice on what to do at this point in time. I just happened to see this post and decided to vent.

Rebel....I hate to hear about your problems with getting your calls.  If it was me I would be calling him.  He has always been easy to get a hold of.  I know you said you had contacted him before but i would try again by phone.  If his pot calls are as half as good as his mouth calls it would be worth getting your hands on them.  Hope everything works out....I know i would hate to have paid for some calls and not get them when I should have.

In my defense I have been working a grueling work schedule (lots of days and lots of overtime!) and didn't feel safe working in my shop after 11-12 Hours at my Full Time Job (the one that pays the bills!). This was related to the Customer on numerous occasions and he seemed to understand. The configuration of this Call changed no less than 10 from order to delivery!

To date, the Calls.have been shipped, received in their final configuration and I have received an email, Thanking me for the Calls and telling me.how.good they look and sound!

I treated this order the same as an order from anyone who orders a call or calls from me. I listen to what they are wanting in a Call, make suggestions on Playing Surface and Wood Type, ask if they would like an Inlay Band or not on the side of the Call, Ask them if they want an Outline Carving on the bottom of their call and tell them that if they have any problem with the call(s) they can call, text or email anytime! I tell them, don't send Money until I notify you that Calls are ready.

For the last 2-3 years I have had a really busy Work Schedule which has put a cramp in my Shop Time. As with most people, unless they are independently wealthy or retired, I have to maintain a job so that I can maintain my House, pay my Bills and Feed myself!

Tim has always been a stand up guy for me. I run a bunch of his calls and all of them are top notch.

Tim has always been good to me.  I have one of his copper pots, and it's usually my go to call.
