Everybody sells Diamondwood or some type of laminated striker. And they play on just about
Every surface out there. Probably if I just had to have one, it would be Diamondwood.

Dymondwood strikers will flat rock a glass pot call.
No trees were hurt in the sending of this message, however a large number of electrons were highly inconvenienced.

I run Dymondwood on all my pots. Seems to work well with any surface.

Is crystal an glass the same?

Similar but not the same.  Glass is silica glass like your window pane.  Crystal is lead crystal like fine serving bowls and glasses. If you have ever thumped a glass goblet and thumped a crystal goblet there is a distinct difference in tone and ring.  There is also a difference in the sound a call makes of the two surfaces.  Crystal tends to be higher pitch and have more pop to clucks and cutts.  Crystal is actually softer and easier to condition.
