I go deer hunting about once a year to remind myself why I quit going. I've been bored lately and actually have went twice in the last week. Last Tuesday evening I went and saw two does, a spike, a six point and an eight point. All came within twenty yards or less. Filmed the six and threw a grunt call at the eight and almost got him.
Well I woke up early this morning and figured what the heck. So I went and sat a couple hours this morning. Saw a spike about 8:15. I'm trying to get my throwing arm in shape in case I go out West this year and hunt Merriam's, so I threw a big stick at the spike but missed low. He was about 20 yards but I judged him at 15. Then about 9:00 this broke horn deer came strolling by at about 10 yards, wish I would have saved my stick.
Sorry, my attention span wouldn't allow me to edit the shakey stuff out of the video.
