I am shooting a Benelli SBE 1 with a Indian Creek .665 choke and a 24" barrel. I am looking for the ammo that will give me the most uniform pattern at ranges up to 50yds. I am probably looking at 3 1/2" , but if I find that 3" works better I will go with that. I don't care what shot size or blend. It just has to get the job done. I am looking for some suggestions to start testing with. Price is not a factor.

I always like to buy ammo from a dealer(aka not by mail), but Nitro does not have a dealer in Missouri. So Nitro is out for me.

Straight 5 or 6's. Or a blend of both, or a blend of 5/6/7.

I don't have to shoot that far, but I want to know that I can. Any other ammo suggestions?

Magblends, Hevi 6's or 7's and Nitros are about your choices. Nitros being the best but are VERY expensive, Magblends are next IMO followed by the 7s and then the 6's. All beyond deadly as far as you can shoot them.

I'd recommend 3" Hevi-13s with either #6 or #7 shot. They work for me in my SBE, Nova and Vinci exceptionally well but normally I shoot chokes with a tighter exit diameter, especially when I shoot the 24" barrel.

Whatever you shoot, good luck this spring.

As suggested earlier, Hevi Magblends, #6's, and #7's would be a good place to start.
