While several communities around us had both property damage and loss of life from the several tornadoes that hit a large portion of Illinois, we were fortunate to have only some tree damage and lots of rain.

We appreciate the calls and e-mails from many who were checking up on us to make sure that we were safe. Thank you for your concerns.

Please keep the folks who were affected by property loss and loss of lives in your thoughts and prayers. There will be many difficult days ahead for them.

Thanks,
Clark

ILIKEHEVI-13

Great news.  I seen on CNN a woman from Washington, IL that was hit by a EF-4 tornado.  She lost so much blood when she finally arrived at the hospital that her heart stopped beating and they actually brought her back with the shockers.  She had to get a several blood transfusions.  But she is alive thanks to her daughter I believe it was was there to help.

Glad to hear it Clark.  Those news stories are hard to watch.  It's hard to comprehend that kind of devastation and the impact it has on families and communities.  Prayers for those affected. :mycross:

It's unusual to have these storms in this area in November. The weather has been unusual all year however and when it's as warm here as it has been, we know there can be trouble.

We had a lot of wind and rain and branches will need to be picked up but no real damage that I've been able to see so far.

Today the sun is shining, so I need to get out and get ready for deer season that starts this Friday.

Thanks again,
Clark

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected. The carnage is unbelievable.  :cross2:
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
If attacked by a mob of clowns, go for the juggler.

Thank you all. I spent most of the day outside. There were some limbs broken off and buried deeply into the ground. I would not have wanted to have been under them when they were broken off and sent flying. Other than that, no real damage that I could see here but I did not go into the woods, as deer season begins Friday and I don't want to disturb them. I did see a very big doe early this morning just north of our house.

It's really bad so many places in Illinois. Brookport and Washington especially were very hard hit. We'll keep them in our thoughts and prayers.

Thanks,
Clark
