I personally do not like ratchet clippers in the turkey woods, they make too much noise on a quiet morning for me. I just carry a single stage bypass pruner with teflon coated blade. I have a strong grip and that is all I need.

Corona bypass pruner,teflon coated blade.Easy to sharpen.
