As I grow older I begin to see things differently, call it maturity or call it getting wiser....what ever you call it it happens to us all. We begin to wonder how long our life is, what will happen down the path we are walking that will change everything. Major items that we saw in our youth now sit back on the rear burner, as we plan what precious time we may have left, hopefully fulfilling dreams past or accomplishing future goals set.

Ecc. 3: 1-8
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Jesus was very adamant on trying to get across to his followers that our time here is precious overall and not to be so wrapped up in it ending but in the fact that we need to live it while we have it.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

So what can I say? I have to admit, sometimes I get wrapped up about what lies ahead, sometimes I do get concerned about how the world around me is changing, I do fall prey to worry and stress...but when I look at scriptures like these I am reminded of the true purpose and that is to pay attention to how I spend my "TIME" (BY THE WAY IT IS MENTIONED 29 TIMES IN THE VERSES ABOVE) and that my friends is simple...I should spend my time with my eyes and my heart focused on heavenly things. I should be spending my time on my knees in prayer. I should be spending my time reading the Bible. I should spend my time in sharing the Gospel. Are you getting the picture?
You see Jesus didn't allow the world to encroach on His mission .... He didn't allow Satan the chance to persuade Him to worry and fret about the past or the future....He simply followed the path His Father laid out before Him and did what ever brought Glory and Honor to His Father. And for the life of me, I can't understand why sometimes I allow myself to get wrapped up in things I have no control over, and avoid those things which I do..... Seasons come and seasons go, let's focus on what we do with the time we have for His Glory.
