Got the fever to turn a few calls and just finished them up. I usually do most of my call turning after the Christmas holiday. I do about 20 calls a year, mostly slates and wanted to try copper to see how they sound. I made 5 pots, 1 is cocobola and the others are rock maple. Strikers are different types of wood.........these are ebony, purpleheart, bloodwood, and dymondwood.

Nice style to those strikers.  Clean pots as well!

Thanks guys! I wanted to do something a little different with strikers. I like the way they feel when working a call.

noisy box call that seems to sound like a flock of juvenile hens pecking their way through a wheat field

Very nice. I like the creativity in those strikers.

Outdoors..........I had a few guys that asked me to make some in copper, that's what got me wanting to try a few. They have alot more "Rasp" than slate or glass. I think it could be a good call to have when those gobblers get tight lipped. Thanks for asking!
