Found 2 ten round boxes of the old 3.5 1 3/4 shells in 4 and 6 shot.   Was looking at picking up the 6's.

Anybody like the old shells, or would buy them again if they had the chance?

Those #6 will rock if they are the old clear hull ones. They will do 200 in a 10 at 40yds.

SgtUSMC

I'm not sure about the hulls.  They were behind the counter, but I'll check out it out tomorrow morning.

I read wrong. I thought they where the 3". I see you put 3.5. They are probably a light green hull. They also shot real good for me.

I had a box of those ( Bronze hull ) in 6 shot and would get 130 plus at 40 yards in a 10 inch circle . I also had some green hull # 5's that was 3.5 inch  1 3/4 oz. I would get 100 or so in the 10 at 40 yards with those .

#5
I've had great results with the 3.5" #6's bronze hull and wish I could find more  :funnyturkey:

I've got 30 of the old 3" clear/white #6's locked up in my safe,
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

SgtUSMC

Does anybody know how to find out if they are in fact the 13cc shot or the 12?

BandedSpur

The only way I know is to weigh and test a sample of the shot with water displacement in a graduated cylinder. You sure can't ask EM and expect to get a straight answer.

SgtUSMC

I decided to pick them up after seeing the pattern posted above.

Figure if I can get anywhere near that performance I'd be more than satisfied.

Especially since after the rebate it came out to $12 for a box of 10.

surehuntsalot

nothing wrong with that deal
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

I got a box of 6s for trade in classifieds  ;D
