With my 870 SM, I'm getting slightly better patterns with the .662 Hevi choke over a .660 Jelly Head.  Both 6's and 7's like the Hevi choke better on my own experience.  Tried some leftover Winchester Extended Range 6's and got 200 hits at a taped 40 yds with the Hevi choke, a bit of an improvement over my old .665 kicks at 179.
Was this with the 3 inch or 3.5 inch loads?? :OGturkeyhead:

Just got an 870 SM.  Was thinking about shooting some Hevishot 13 #6s out of the gun.  What choke should I go with?

Of those 2 chokes, I'd try the H-13 turkey choke. It's kind of a sleeper but once hunters discover it, most really like the performance.

Thanks,
Clark

I use a .665 Indian Creek with a 23" barrel on my 870SM. Best pattern with H13 3.5" #7s is 324 in a 10" circle at 40 yards. With this combo I have killed two birds at 56 yards and one at 53. Each time I misjudged the distance.
Out of the 2 chokes you mentioned id go with the Jellyhead. IMO a Jellyhead is the best bang for the buck on the market.
