Got lucky and killed my 3rd today. The last few days I have not been gettin in the woods until up in the morning and have gotten on more gobblers this
way.Today I got setup at 9.00 AM and gave a series of yelps on the box call and it wasnt long before two longbeards entered the field.I had a decoy out but they were very suspicious of
it.One was about 50 yards out in front of the other but neither in gun range. The one in front was gettin further away every step he took so I turned my attention to the 2nd bird.He was still out of range but he was gettin a little closer with every step he took.I turned my head left to check the other gobbler and to my surprise he had turned and was gettin closer.I let him get to 40 yards and I shot. The other gobbler ran away but there was a hen that came up to my decoy.I didnt really want to spook her so I sat in the blind waiting for her to leave so I finally got tired and scared her away on purpose!
