a little off topic...electric razors

I hate shaving with a razor, always nicking myself and bleeding.  About 15 years ago, I was given a new-in-the-box Norelco electric shaver that was about 15 years old when I came into possession of it.  It really irritated my skin and I got rid of it after a month or two.

I have used a razor for years, and hate it.  But it doesn't irritate my face if I shave after a shower like that Norelco did.

I would love to change to a new electric shaver, so if you could make a recommendation, I would appreciate it...something that doesn't irritate your face when you use it.  I'm sure the technology has advanced significantly in the past twenty years.

Tail Feathers

Never found one that didn't burn my neck raw.  Gave up on 'em years ago.

I'm a blade man for good now.

I use a Braun, and I also shave with a disposable razor in the shower at times when I let my beard grow 2-3 days.

The key to electric razors is being consistent with them. Guarantee you will be irritated for the first 2 weeks of use. It takes your face some time to get used to the way the electric razor works. After that you'll be fine, and kicking yourself for not using one earlier.   :icon_thumright:

CASH

I've got a Remington, but I only shave my head with it.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands, love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper; his hands remember the rifle.

OLE RASPY

I use a conair but i have a beard so i only trim a little on my neck.

I use a Braun also. I use it before I take a shower, seems to work better than afterwards.

Braun makes a fine product.  I still occasionally use one instead of a blade.

Seems to be the case, checking on the internet, seems that the Panasonic with the foils gets good reviews too.

This is the key. After you get through the initial period of irritation, you'll not have a problem again.

I've used a Braun for close to 30 years and I'm on my 3rd one.  Best electric razor made!! :happy0064:

CB on the run

You need to replace the blades every year or two also.
