Decoys Decoys, Decoys.. When?

I never seem to know 100% when, and when not to use them. What combo to use, etc. Decoys make me nervous as they can do more harm than good sometimes. But we all know they can be a great tool at other times. What is your option of when to (or not to) use hens, toms, etc.. ?

Just a matter of preference I guess. I personally don't use them unless it is a rainy day, and then I set them up in a field and hope for the best. I have had them scare turkeys and prefer not to use them in the woods. Others love them though..

I usually just take them out when I don't mind lugging around the extra weight and bullk, or when I want to put on a show for the youngsters. Usually I will put out a jake and hen, if the turkeys are not responding correctly then I will take the hen out of the equation.
