Hey guys im lookin to get a custom slate.I have the d&d soulcrusher slate but somehow the surface got cracked. Same thing happened to my jackpot slate that was my go to call for years. Ive been doing a lot of research and have narrowed it down to 3. David halloran slate over glass, Lonzos birdseye maple, and the Lonnie Sneed hot hen slate. What call would you buy?

My pic would be the Lonnie Sneed.  I love that call and it sure does talk turkey.  I personally have not run the other two but I have heard a lot of good things about them. You really can't go wrong with any of those calls.

All three are good but the hot hen gets my vote.  Scoot

I have a lonzo slate, a lonnie sneed hot hen slate and ran but don't own a hollaran slate. All are terrific and you can't go wrong with any of those choices. Also check out cramers slate. My friend has one and it might be the best sounding slate I ever heard.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Forgot about Magnolia calls,  Gary makes a fine slate and I forgot to mention Lonnie Mabry out of Georgia,  I own a bunch and his mahogony slate over cherry soundboard might be the best I own.  Clint Corder makes a great one also and also Dave Tyree padauk sassy slate is a fine call.  Scoot

I ordered two of Lonnie Sneeds hot hen slates yesterday.Sounded so good on the phone i had to get one for my uncle.A real nice gentleman to speak and do business with. A true turkey hunting MASTER. I cant wait to get them in the mail.It should compliment the Crystal Misstress that i just got quite well.
