I am thinking about purchasing one of the Stoeger P-350 with a 24 inch barrel, as I have found a really good deal on with a pistol grip and I was wondering if anybody had any personal experiences with certain chokes and load combos for this gun.  I will most definitely be shooting 3 1/2" and some form of hevi shot whether it be federal or hevi-13 in either 6 or 7 shot. I just would like to know what choke you would think would work best with either of these two.  Thanks!

I'd really recommend the Hevi-13 choke for that gun. It does a great job with that i.d. barrel, regardless of the gun.

Thanks,
Clark

The Stoeger and Benelli are built very similar. My Benelli I shoot a Sumtoy with #7, a friend of has a Stoeger 2000 and he shoots Sumtoy with Magblend. Tim Sanford I believe he shoots a Stoeger 3500 with a Sumtoy.

My stoegers both liked an Indian Creek 665 and a kicks 660 with Winchester extended range 6s. The kicks also shot 5s good to.

I ended up going with the hevi13 choke as I am definitely going to shoot hevi 13 this year in probably 6 shot. I was able to find a place that still has some of the old hevi shot with 10 shells per box for about the same price as the new boxes of 5. How does the old hevi-13 compare to the new cause I have heard the older ones are better shooting and patterning

Congratulations. I think you made a good choice in chokes. If the Hevi-13 shells are the 3" "Bronze" shells with 2 oz. of #6 shot, they are very good shells. There are also the "Old White" Hevi-13 shells that have 1.75 oz. of #6 shot. These shells have white/clear hulls and a roll crimp, rather than a star crimp. These are also very good shells.

There are however still some of the older 3" Hevi-13 shells that have various color (red and bronze) hulls and usually 1.75 oz or 1.625 oz. of shot. These are much less desirable and just won't pattern like the 2 oz. Bronze or 1.75 oz White hulled shells.

I hope that helps some.

Thanks,
Clark
