Sad day indeed. All of us who are parents have difficulty comprehending how horrible this must be for the families of the victims.

As for the shooter, we may never know what prompted the killing of his mother, or the slaughter of the children, but I'm not sure it really matters anyway, because a normal, sane person can't really understand the thought processes involved in such an act. As for his fate, I, personally, am glad he is dead. It is too bad he didn't die a horrible, slow death, but at least we won't have to endure seeing his face on the news as he is put in protective custody and escorted into a courtroom somewhere. It might make us as humans feel better to see him confronted by those he wronged, but in actuality, he was more than likely a sociopath, unable to feel empathy for anyone, so the idea that he would have to "live" with his actions the rest of his life, is probably not a valid one.

I recall seeing the boys, I think, from a school shooting several years ago in the South (Kentucky?) being interviewed for a news program. To me, at least, it was obvious they had absolutely no remorse about what they had done. They should have just popped a cap in their heads and saved the taxpayers a lot of money that is now being spent on their incarceration.

So, so sad.
I weep for the parents, and loved ones of those who died on a beautiful December morning, who did nothing wrong, who were eagerly anticipating the miricle of Christmas as only a child can do.
These 20 beautiful souls will never see the sun again all because a psycopath by his own hand took the most precious gift we as parents have. Children.
I am a God fearing Christian, and I believe those 20 were met by our Lord and Savior personally.
As for the murderer, I pray my Lord's justice is swift, and without mercy. He has no advocate for his time of judgement.
We live in a very dangerous world.

God Bless everyone involved in this tragedy. Of course the victims and their families but also the First Responders.  Those brave men and women have been exposed to one of the most horrific scenes imaginable.

Where do you begin on such a tragedy as this one....I pray that God will give special grace to those that lost their child in this horrible act of violence. I don't believe that we will ever get into the mind of someone that could do something like this, but I can tell you from a spiritual perspective that it is demonic to the core, and I personally have had it with the way our children have been assaulted by molestors, abusive parents, abortion, and now blatant murder in a place where kids should feel safe and secure.
If you want to shoot someone try shooting at someone who can shoot you back....cowardly and demonic sums it up
