The wife and I finally made it home after spending what seemed like a eternity in the stands. We got in camp on Nov.10th and hunted everyday thru Nov.23rd. I seen one deer that may have been a buck (maybe) . My wife never laid eyes on a deer. It happens sometimes. It sucks, but it happens. Friends of ours hunting to the west got a dandy 10 point and a spike.Woodsman4God took a really nice doe.Kamski1151 had the same luck we had. At least I was there to help out my friends when their hunt looked like it was destined for the crapper. I was in my tree stand when I got the call." Billie this is Harry i just blew the tranny in my truck,HELLLLLP !" What are friends for ? I towed his trailer to his camp and helped him get set up.Got him some gas and water and checked on them every couple days. I couldnt get him to give up those big ol 10 point straps though.Oh well ,season doesn't end til Friday.

That's a lot of time in the stand. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it dont.......
At least you stuck with it and had quality time with family and friends.

I have to agree with you Kamski, however our spot in the swamp has lots of acorn trees around it, only reason we didnt get skunked this year. Had we stuck to hunting the food plots it would have ended the same way for us, hope the late season picks up after the acorns are gone

that's what I'm thinking. If the acorn crop is depleted, the late doe season in Dec. Should be real good in the plots.
