A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands, love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper; his hands remember the rifle.

I'm following.

There is a pretty good turkey hunting community on Twitter.  Haven't done Facebook yet.

Maybe someone can explain "Twitter" to those of us that are still in the stone age?  What is the difference between Twitter and Facebook?  Why would we want to get on Twitter rather than just stick with Facebook,...or even just stick with basic Email?  I have a Facebook account,...which I rarely use,...and I have yet to understand all the fascination with it.

well, I am not to adept at either and dont get any of the social networking places at all... I just dont have time for them...however...its what is HERE AND NOW, so figured we should utilize it...

for twitter...its just a quick way for you to post what is going on... they are meant to be quick little messages, that anyone who is 'following' you would see ---  facebook is similiar in the way that you post and your 'friends' can see what is going on with you...but they can interact a bit better (IMO) on facebook then on twitter....

so, lets say you had twitter or facebook and there was a thread here on OG that you LOVED and thought may be helpful or something and you wanted to share it... you can simply hit the buttons now and it will post to your twitter / facebook accounts,...instead of you having to copy paste the message to another place, or email a link or however you would normally do it.... and if its on the social network, it is shared with all your followers/friends...  so you are multi sharing instead of just to the one person....

Thanks @OldGobbler for the follow.

The simplest explanation that I have heard about the difference between Facebook and Twitter is:

Facebook you choose your friends and with Twitter, your friends choose you.  ;D
