Hey guys! Any comments on this tube on a 11-87? Can it be used with Hevi? What lead load?  :thanks:

I can't say to use it but my experience has been that it does quite well with HTL or lead and there have been numerous users reporting better numbers with HTL in the lead only choke.

I have one for a 12  gauge and like #5 and #6s in lead and #6s in HTL.
Fed HW and the Hevi-Shot in #7 have also given good numbers.

A 660 or 665 is a good range for the 12 gauge Remmys.

There is really no way to know who made that choke for Remington or what material was used to make it.

You won't go wrong by following the guidelines on the choke itself and sticking with lead shot shells.

I've been shooting a new lead load, White Lightening, from Spectra Shot. It looks like the old white Hevi-Shot loads, rolled crimp and all. It's a 3" shell with 1.625 oz. of #6 "very hard" lead shot. Jay Menefee loads it for them and it's a very good shell. You may want to check and see if it's available in your area or you may want to order some.

Thanks,
Clark

Here's a link to the White Lightening shells http://spectrashot.net/#ecwid:category=1473815&mode=product&product=11293895

They come 10 shells per box, so directly from them they are $22.50 per box.

Thanks,
