My morning started as any other morning, I awoke told my wife good morning and started out my normal routine. I got my coffee, took the dog out and thanked God for another beautiful day. I also asked that he give me the strength to be like Him throughout the day as I usually do. So I get in my truck and head to work and the first thing that happens is a car pulls right out in front of me. I had to slam on the brakes, spilled my coffee and had some pretty harsh words for the driver. This bothered me all morning, I hardly got out of the gate with my day and already I have let someone dictate how my day was going to be, and it wasn't to good.

Tonight I get to Church and the Pastor's message was about letting people steal your joy. All I could think about was this was me this morning. I made the choice to let this person anger me instead of doing what I had asked God earlier this morning, I don't think He would have acted this way.

We have these choices everyday so take the time to think before we react, it just might mean a good day rather than a bad one.

Here are a couple of scriptures I would like to share.

James 1:2 says Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,
John 16:22- So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

Lord, give me the strength to be slow to react when I feel that I have been wronged. Help me understand that I first need to stop and think, what would You do. Thank You for your many blessings in my life each day!! In Jesus Name Amen!!

God Bless,
Jody

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.(John 10:10)

Wonderful Devotional Jody!!

So many times we need to be slow to react, and steadfast in our stare of Jesus.

Good message Jody. I tend to react in an angry manner and need to learn to slow down my reactions. Thanks
