Shot buffer leaking?

I noticed that a few of my older Remington HEVI-shot shells are leaking a tiny amount of buffer from the crimping and I took a very small piece of wax about as big as the tip on a sharpie marker and melted it with heat and friction by rubbing my finger on top of the piece of wax.  It fixed the problem, but I was wondering if this will be ok.  It really is a miniumal amount of wax.

I called Nitro Co. the other day about the stuff coming off the shell covering the crimp and the possibilty of buffer leaking out and what to do to fix it.  Now I don't know if the lady at the desk actually knew what she was talking about but she told me to use Elmer's Glue to cover the crimp.  I tried it and killed a turkey with one of the shells the other day.  You might wait for some of the other replies from the other experts on here though before you try it.  I don't know about it raises pressures.

I've melted candle wax and put it on Hevishot crimps. It works great.

Elmers glue will work fine. Candle wax IME is not very durable and tends to come off easily, sometimes inside the gun. But most of the handloaders on here use a product called Alex Plus, that can be had at Lowes, Home Depot, etc. Apply a small amount and wipe off all excess with a paper towel. The stuff absolutely will not come off, does the job, and does not appear to raise chamber pressures.

I use nail polish.  I do all my Hevi-13's  Started doing that after having a pocket full of buffer on a Kansas trip last year.

I use Elmer's glue.  Let it dry overnight.  Then apply my wife's pretty, pink, nail polish over the top of it.
