Your favorite channel for outdoor programming

Pursuit
Sportsmans
Outdoor
Versus

shootumindaface

I am growing tired of outdoor shows but it is the best thing on most times.. I see now Dish has Sportsmans as well as Pursuit.. I like Pursuit because of the NWTF, Turkey Thugs and MO Obession revealed shows but the constant Paid Programming is agonizing..

So what is your favorite channel.

knightrider

i grew tired of the comercialism and TROPHY pressure they have brought to the outdoors it is no longer about the hunt or the tradition, on the shows, i havnt watched one on tv in over a year :fud:

I have not watched a hunting show in three years. It's all setup BS with music. I want anybody to go any where week in and week out and lets see if you can kill a record anything and have the cameras setup in perfect position every time. Now lets check the record books and see if any of these so call experts have anything recorded as a record...and you won't find anything which is telling me these so called monsters are farm raised or killed behind a fenced in area..

RaspyD

I only get the Versus channel but Mike Hanback has the best show, Buck Stops, by far.
Perfection Turkey Calls

CB on the run

I'm a channel surfer and don't pay attention to which network I'm watching.  I've only been watching the shooting shows lately as I grew tired of watching bowhunting when I'm mentally gearing up for turkey.

I have the Outdoor Channel, I'm really growing tired of the same old product pushing infomercials they have basically turned in too. The only show's that still has good info on how-to's that I've seen is the In-Fisherman and Critical Concepts. These 2 shows still have good info and actually tell you what and how they did it. The hunting shows just seem be about taking animals with no info on how they set-up, what to do,etc. but that's just my 2 cents, Brad

Spurs

Don't watch shows anymore.  Kinda got tired of all of the advertising in them.  I may sit a between a commercial, but typically lose interest really quick.
This year is going to suck!!!

Hognutz

I agree with all of the above. It is getting to the point where they all stink. I used to be glued to them all. Now, it has to be something special or I won't watch it. To see a guy in a blind with 10 or more big bucks, (with names, I might add) standing in one field, within gun range, and waiting because (Ol' Mossy Horns) is not out in the field yet, makes me want to projectile vomit. Can't do it..Mike
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
If attacked by a mob of clowns, go for the juggler.

Skeeterbait

I don't watch any of the hunting shows anymore.  Will on occasion watch a fishing show.

Crutch

I have VS and Pursiut.  VS has to much other stuff for me to pay any attention to it. Pursuit has a few good shows.   1 is Blood Brothers TV, (one episode I caught) was great. the only other REAL hunting show I am aware of is Ted Nugent's show.  I like Turkey call OK, and really like Turkey Thugs because of Cuz. Other than that, i get really tired of the marketing. I realize baiting is legal in some states, but so is shooting roosted Toms as long as it is in the shooting hours. That turns me off form the people I used to respect hunting in Texas in front of a feeder or over a farm road where you can see the deer feeding in the dirt paths. AFAIAC, baiting is illegal regardless of what the state says.

I'll give Pursuit the nod, because Blood Brothers TV shot to the top of my list of favorite hunting shows.

PANYHunter

I voted for sportsman's. I like Battle of the Bow.  Not a big fan of competition hunting but it seems like its everyday people hunting.  I also like Relentless Pursuit.  I know that most of it isn't fair chase but it is entertaining and he isn't trying to hid the fact that its not fair chase.

jwhunter

i dont like hunting shows either. . the only one i like is Fred Eichler's shows. b/c he hunts with a recurve most of the time!
