A couple guys recently were putting up nice patterns with the heavyweight and a .650 Trulock choke.

I have the same gun, the trulock choke is putting 150ish all day in the ten @ 40 with the #7.
Don't gobble at me...

Are you shooting them through a ported choke?
Blessed are the peacemakers for they are the children of God.

Trulock has a choke out for the Federal Heavyweight #7. its not on their sight. Give them a call. I consistantly get 140-150 in my 870 with 3''. And my 11-87 i get 200-210 with 3 1/2 ''. Both give great 20'' patterns all at 40yds. Its a .650 constriction. Lee

I'm shooting my870 sm with a Carlson's .660 non ported tube and getting 150-170 with the 3 1/2 HW #7. Pattern is very uniform and it has flat out destroyed 4 birds from 32-40 yards.

call William at Sumtoy chokes and let him send you a choke. you won't regret it.

I have shot the federal HW since it first came out.  I have shot it in a browning citori with a nonported .665 choke and got 190+ in 10" circle at 40.  I am now shooting it in a 935 with a .675 nonported carlson that gets 216 in the 10" circle at 40.

My friends shoot the same 3.5" # 7 HW loads in a winchester SX2 and SX3 with a .665 nonported carlson choke.  Both of them are gettin right at 215 in the 10" cirlce at 40.

All of these patterns are with uncleaned and unpolished guns!

The penatration is UNREAL with this shot.  Try something that is extended and non ported in the .655 range in your remington.  I think your will be VERY happy with the performance of this ammo.

thanks
