Easter, Hunting for more then just eggs..................
Matthew 28:1-10
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."

On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ. It is typically the most well-attended Sunday service of the year for Christian churches.

Christians believe, according to Scripture, that Jesus came back to life, and was raised from the dead, three days after his death on the cross. As part of the Easter season, the death of Jesus Christ by crucifixion is commemorated on Good Friday, always the Friday just before Easter. Through his death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all who believe in him, eternal life in Christ. There are so many ways to explain the story of Easter, I love the simple ways, those that depict Scriptural truths, here is one such form...

Is there proof of Christs' Resurrection?
There are at least 10 different appearances of Christ in the resurrection accounts, beginning with Mary and ending with Paul. They were physical, tangible experiences with Christ eating, speaking and allowing himself to be touched.
1.To Mary Magdalene (John 20:11-18; Mark 16:9)
2.To the other women (Matthew 28:8-10)
3.To Peter (Luke 24:34; 1 Corinthians 15:5)
4.To the two on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35; Mark 16:12)
5.To ten of the disciples (Luke 24:36-43; John 20:19-29)
6.To all eleven disciples, eight days later (John 20:24-29)
7.To seven disciples by the Sea of Tiberias (John 21:1-23)
8.To five hundred followers (1 Corinthians 15:6)
9.To James (1 Corinthians 15:7)
10.To the eleven, at the ascension (Acts 1:3-12)
What does this mean? That Jesus, died as a man, but unlike the natural man, HE, left the confines of Hades, holding the keys of death, hell and the grave, rose victoriously out of the tomb, and after his Ascension, now sits at the right hand side of His Father, interceding on our behalf.... the Ressurection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the crowning proof of Christianity. Everything else that was said or done by Christ and the apostles is secondary in importance to the resurrection. If the resurrection did not take place then Christianity is a false religion. But, it did take place and the Christian faith is based upon the absolute truth.
This is the simple scriptural truth, not hidden in the grass, like a hard boiled egg, but laid out in the open, for all man to find........celebrate the Ressurection, the opportunity for eternal life for everyone through the birth, life, death and the ressurection of Jesus....
